This rotating Lens Hood is designed for digital camera with either built-in or interchangeable zoom lenses. The hood protects against stray light reflection hitting the surface of the lens, and at the same time will not vignette the corners when using the wide-angle feature of the lens. |

 72mm screw-on lens hood |

I ordered the 72mm screw-on hood from Adorama for a Sigma 18-200 OS lens, used on a Canon EOS 30D. I ordered the Adorama model, because the Sigma was harder to find! The Adorama hood works perfectly, and holds the lens cap snugly. Image quality is better than without the hood, and I am pleased!

Doesn't quite go with Canon 18-200mm F3.5-56 lens

| I bought this item to go with my Canon 18-200mm F3.5-56 lens for my Canon 40D. Well, I was disappointed to see that at 18mm this hood leaves a nice vignette. You have to zoom it to around 40-50mm to get rid of it, but then you don't have wide angle. I wish I knew this from the beginning. In other words - you get what you pay for! |
